ROACHES
WHAT MUST YOU DO BEFORE YOUR HOME IS TREATED FOR ROACHES?
Remove everything from kitchen and bathroom cabinets, drawers, and stove. Place on table and cover.
REMOVE--All shelf paper from drawers and cabinets, and remove everything from countertops.
WASH--All cabinets and shelves before we get there. NOT AFTER! Just dust out and replace paper. IF YOU WASH, YOU WILL REMOVE CHEMICAL.
Move what furniture you can from wall 4 to 6 inches in all rooms.
REMOVE--Shoes, boxes, storage cartons, etc from bedrooms, hall closets, shelves, and floors. If problem is is serious in bedrooms, remove all drawers from night stands and dressers (you do not have to remove clothing) and put on bed and cover with a sheet or blanket.
WHAT WILL THE PEST CONTROL OPERATOR DO TO YOUR HOME TO TREAT FOR ROACHES?
TWO types of chemical will be used. One will be used in all the cracks and crevices to force the roaches out of hiding and to expose them to the other chemical.
WILL ALL ROACHES DIE AFTER TREATMENT?
The incubation period for the eggs is an average of 21 days. So you will be seeing the little ones. DON'T BE ALARMED! ALSO THE CRACK AND CREVICE TREATMENT WILL BE DRIVING THE ADULTS OUT. WHEN YOU SEE THEM, THEY HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO THE CHEMICAL AND ARE IN THE PROCESS OF DYING. REMEMBER, THEY CAN STILL LAY EGGS AFTER THEY ARE DEAD. REMOVE ALL THE DEAD ONES YOU MAY FIND.
ADULTS MUST BE OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR AT LEAST 4 HOURS.
ALL DOGS AND CATS MUST BE OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR AT LEAST 4 HOURS.
CHILDREN UNDER 1 YEAR OF AGE MUST BE OUT FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS.
UNDER 6 MONTHS, PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR.
All birds and fish should be removed for a minimum of 24 hours. Pets should be out of the yard for at least 1 hour after treatment. |
